The 7 Day Skirt Challenge

I decided to take part  in Gail's of 'Is This Mutton' 7 Day skirt challenge see HERE ; but I will state from the beginning that I cheated! I didn't wear these skirts everyday over the past 7 days. I did wear 5 of them in October; but the other 2 were worn earlier this year in July. In reverse date of wearing order:

Day 1

Skirt by Anokhi for East; jacket by M&S and top by Next - all charity shopped.

Day 2

Jacket and camisole both M&S. Skirt by Anokhi. All charity shopped.

Day 3

Skirt by French Connection; top no label; shirt by Gap. Everything is charity shopped.

Day 4

Skirt by Laura Ashley, jumper by Seasalt. Everything charity shopped.

Day 5
Skirt by Next; top by Pepperberry. Everything charity shopped.

Day 6

Skirt by M&S, merino wool top (I usually wear this as part of my walking gear) and boots; all charity shopped. Leather jacket by Asos; present from my daughter.

Day 7

Blazer by John Rocha, skirt by Red Herring, jumper no label - all charity shopped. Boots online retail.

  1. I knew you would have some wonderful skirts! I also cheated in that I didn't wear the skirts all day, just for the photos which were new each day. My favourites of yours are the last outfit - masterful use of different colours, the green outfit with Laura Ashley skirt - love the splash of orange - and the lovely blue outfit with French Connection skirt. Thanks for taking part! x

  2. wonderful and chic and beautiful!
love the longer/maxi skirts because of the amount of fabric - must look gorgeous when you move....
i would have to cheat too - mostly i wear a skirt 3-5 days in a row, until its dirty enough to wash. only the tops get changed daily (but not woolen sweaters - they get aired and worn again a few times before the wash).

    1. Thank you, Beate,

Yes, I wear my skirts several times before washing, too. They don't really get dirty unless, like me, you spill food on them!

  4. What a great selection. I only possess two skirts so I wouldn't have got far with this challenge.
My favourite is Day 2 - I love that shade of blue. xx

    2. Hi JayCee, good to hear from you!

Thank you. Either you're not a skirt fan or you have a minimalist capsule wardrobe....

  6. What a wonderful parade of skirt-based outfits! The two first ones - both featuring Anokhi creations, I notice - are my favourites! As you rightly commented on my latest post, I have indeed wearing skirts more lately. Perhaps I'm relishing the challenge now that I have more time. Pulling out a dress is so easy, isn't it. You did really well with this challenge, even if you didn't wear all these outfits in the last seven days! xxx

  7. Your Anokhi skirts are my favourite - they are so pretty! I think just doing a challenge is a success, Vronni - so many people out there are not even wearing "real" clothes right now! You are aces in my book. :)

  8. What a beautiful skirt collection! That was my favorite part of the challenge: seeing everyone's elses and how they styled them. You look lovely in each of these outfits!
